And the inspiring story

Coconut is one of the 9 main industrial crops in Vietnam. Trà Vinh is the province with the second largest coconut area in the country with over 25,000ha of coconut plantations. However, the current situation of climate change and saltwater intrusion is happening strongly, many coconut areas are flooded over 15 parts per thousand, affecting the productivity of coconut fruits in the Mekong Delta. To adapt to this situation, Sokfarm has inherited and continued the traditional coconut flower sap collection industry of the Khmer people in the South. We choose to pursue a business model that creates social impact, providing sustainable livelihoods for farmers, protecting the environment, and caring for the health of the community with the essence of Trà Vinh coconut flower nectar

With the aspiration of young people returning to their hometown to start a business with local resources, Sokfarm sets a goal to become a leading enterprise in the field of coconut flower nectar production in Vietnam. Bring local products to the world, become one of the top 5 largest coconut flower nectar producers in the world.

First Prize of the Leading Innovation Fellowship (LIF) Startup Program in 2018

Year 2019

FoodMap outperformed nearly 600 teams from various countries to win the 'Most Impactful Innovation' award at the 2019 Asia Innovates Grand Finale, organized by the UK Royal Academy of Engineering and the Newton Fund. This prestigious award recognizes startups, research teams, and scientific institutions that have made groundbreaking discoveries or developed innovative solutions to address environmental and social challenges.
FoodMap was recognized as the "Best Vietnamese Startup" in the Agri-tech sector by Ricebowl (Malaysia). In 2020, FoodMap clinched the first prize at Startup Hunt Vietnam and was also honored as one of the top 10 agricultural technology companies in the APAC region.

FoodMap won the first prize in the third season of the Blue Venture Award, a prestigious award for social entrepreneurs. As a result of this victory, FoodMap represented Vietnam in the global finals of the Blue Venture Award in 2021

Massaging coconut flowers to collect nectar

Step 1

Famer massage, cut the top, and collect fresh coconut nectar twice a day..
• Choose coconut trees from 3 to 15 years old.
• Each coconut tree produces about 13-16 coconut flowers per year.
• Each coconut flower can produce 25-30 liters of sap per day, collected continuously for 25-30 days.

Step 2

Collect coconut sap and transport it to the factory for processing according to a one-way production process.

Step 3

Process and manufacture organic coconut nectar products in a factory that meets ISO22000:2018 and FDA standards to ensure export standards to the United States, Netherlands, Germany, and Japan.

Step 4

More than 30 products can be produced from coconut flower sap. The product lines produced from organic coconut nectar are as follows:

Passion for Processing, Enhancing the Value of Local Agricultural Products Coming from a farming family, with "love for hometown combined with passion for processing agricultural products, we chose to start a business with coconut flower nectar products. Sokfarm was born as a manufacturer, marketer, and exporter of organic coconut flower nectar products from Vietnam, meeting the world's consumption trends.
