Fresh longan varieties of Thai edaw are widely grown in the Mekong Delta region such as Can Tho, Tien Giang and Dong Thap.
The outer shell of the label is leathery in bronze. Upon contact, thick, yellowed pulp is exposed, the veins are tight, the pulp is soft and the seeds are peeled off. The standard and delicious alum sugar label must ensure 3 factors: when put in the mouth, it feels soft and crispy, sweet and delicious, and the smell is faint like honey.
